| This beautiful O'Mahony Diner was rescued from an uncertain future. It had
been sitting for many years in an outdoor storage area just outside of Dayton, Ohio. It had
operated in Dayton as the Gatethouse diner but we haven't uncovered much
further information. While it's general appearance was very nice it required extensive restoration work as seen in the restoration photos. This
diner was featured on a History Channel show called Back to the Blueprint. Many
aspects of the restoration were filmed for the TV show. It left for Texas in
January of 2005. |
