| This diner has been sold and awaits completion of it's restoration before it's moved to it's new home in Ohio. This Silk City Diner was built in the 1940's and is in very good condition. Regretfully the booths and stools are missing. The layout has been modified from original for additional seating by installing a curved counter on the right side. If the non original right side counter were removed entirely the the seating capacity would be boosted to a generous 78. The roof is in very good condition as is the frame. Only minor detailing would be required on those areas. The exterior porcelain enamel panels are presentable but could ideally use replacement. This diner would be available for $45,000 to $90,000 depending on the level and extent of restoration. |
