Below are photos showing the continuation of the porcelain enamel skin replacement of this 1955 Silk City Diner. The top photo shows new insulation added. The second photo shows the factory insulation which was reinstalled over the new insulation. New wood was installed wherever the original wood was suspect. New wiring for the jukeboxes was installed and finally the side was covered with a sheet of Tyvek (a water/ vapor barrier). End result.... a diner which is better than new!
